So…with the end of the summer season fast approaching what plans do you have in the ‘OFF’ Season??
Have you thought about going ‘OFF ROAD’ and doing some ‘CROSS TRAINING’, as a means of further developing your skillset in the sport of Triathlon?
Thanks to a Triathlon Queensland Age Group Development Grant, the Noosa Tri Club has the opportunity to deliver a 2 Day Cross Triathlon Skills Clinic at Noosa.
The club has engaged the services of X-terra Age Group World Champion and Level 2 Triathlon Coach Kim Beckinsale, and 24hr MTB Age Group World Champion and Level 1 MTB Coach Jan Leverton to conduct a two day clinic specifically designed for triathletes who want to get the most out of the ‘Off Season’. Kim and Jan conduct regular coaching sessions under the name Tri Adventure.
Cross Triathlon Clinic Outline
Session 1 Ocean Swim Noosa Heads – Open water swimming – great for the off season!
Session 2 Trail Running Skills Noosa Heads – Run efficiency & technical adaptations for trail running
Session 3 MTB Basic Skills 1 Tewantin – Basic Braking, Balancing and Cornering, Climbing & Descending
Session 4 Social Function Noosa Heads
Session 1 MTB Basic Skills 2 – Tewantin – Tips for riding technical fire trails and single-track safely sensibly whilst developing speed.
Session 2 Transitions for Cross Triathlon – Putting it all together – getting on and off the bike in the bush
Session 3 Staying on the trail – Tips & Basic bike Maintenance for mountain biking
Session 4 Debrief at Local Cafe
NB:- Participants who attend the NTC Cross Tri Skills Clinic will have access to 6 free Noosa Tri Club MTB skills sessions.
